Are You Visiting London Over Easter?
It’s a late Easter this year. April in Highbury is lovely, with the birds singing, the trees covered in spring foliage and the first flowers and buds starting to make their presence felt. New life is all around, mirrored in this most important of Christian festivals. Our peaceful and tranquil spaces give our guests and delegates the opportunity to rest and reflect, either in our beautiful garden, our spacious building or out in the lovely green spaces nearby.
There are plenty of interesting Easter events in the capital. On Good Friday, 19th April, there is a 90- minute open-air portrayal of the final days of Jesus by the Wintershall Players in Trafalgar Square. There are two performances, one at 12 noon and one at 3.15pm. British Sign Language interpretation is provided and the entire event is completely free of charge. Nearby Highbury Fields is a few minutes’ stroll from the Highbury Centre. It’s the perfect place to relax, reflect and enjoy the beauties of God’s natural world. There is play equipment for the children and a lovely coffee hut for refreshments.
