Inspirational Christian magazines available at The Highbury Centre

Regular readers will remember that we like to add value to our guests’ stay by giving them the opportunity to rest and relax in our comfortable lounges which are well-stocked with books and DVDs. Read more on our collection of books and DVDs here.

In addition to books and DVDs, we subscribe to a number of Christian magazines for the benefit of our guests. Many of them tell us how wonderfully relaxing it is to settle down on one of our comfortable sofas or armchairs with the latest edition of “Premier Christianity” and spend time reading about the latest books, Christian resources and news. Top stories in recent editions include: “What Do Angels Look Like?” “What Has Christianity Ever Done For Us?” and “Is Dracula The Most Christian Show On TV?” With regular columnists, book reviews and longer think pieces, all you need is a cup of tea, a biscuit and some time to acquaint yourself with what’s going on in the world from a Christian angle. You can receive a free copy of the magazine here

David Hathaway’s ministry celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. He has been preaching the gospel across Europe and in Israel, with signs and wonders. In spite of being imprisoned and tortured in a Russian gaol in the Sixties for smuggling Bibles into the country, he never gave up. You can find his magazine, “Prophetic Vision” in our lounge, a read which we know will inspire you.

“Evangelicals Now” comes out monthly and tells inspiring and challenging stories of faith.

“Global” is the magazine produced by Operation Mobilisation (OM) which also has a big birthday this year. Their ministry has been going for 50 years, planting and strengthening churches where the Lord is least known.

Finally, you’ll find “AWM Link” in our lounge, produced by the Arab World Ministry of Pioneers. Their ministry is to reach out to Muslims and share the love of Jesus with them.

All the magazines to which we subscribe are full of inspiration, hope and the workings out of God’s love. Our prayer for all our guests is that the quiet time they spend with us will restore and encourage them as they go out into the world again.
