About Us

A Multi-Purpose Space for Guests

The Highbury Centre is so much more than just a guest house. We never stop trying to find ways to make our guests’ stay more comfortable and it’s important to think of all their needs. In addition to our comfortable lounge, we also have another communal room which is a benefit to many of our visitors.

The Hub is a multi-purpose space in the basement of our beautiful Victorian building. Families find the microwave very helpful for heating up milk or baby food. It’s ideal for guests who want to enjoy a late-night takeaway or just get together over a snack. Our Full Time Christian Workers and missionaries often use the printer to print out tickets, a report or important letters.

For those guests who want to prepare a simple meal, the Hub is perfect with plenty of seating and table space. So, whether enjoying an Indian takeaway and a good chat, or refuelling with a jacket potato and cheesy beans, it’s the ideal space for a relaxed meal.

We provide a small communal fridge to keep your food and drink cool. Many of our guests write their names on the packaging with a marker pen, which works well.

Next door, there is a laundry area with a washing machine and tumble dryer free for all guests to use.

The Hub is a friendly, relaxed community space. Here at the Highbury Centre, we like to add value wherever we can, and it seems that our guests really appreciate this. The last word goes to a recent visitor: “I loved having space outside the bedroom to relax. Having a fridge and microwave to use was great. I also appreciated having a laundry. These were not available at the other B&Bs we stayed at. I was grateful to be able to leave luggage there while I travelled, and to chat with staff and other guests. It made my stay in London a special experience.”
