25% OFF Stays: Now Open to More Christian Guests

We are excited to announce our 25% discount criteria has changed.

Right at the very heart of what we do is to provide affordable and welcoming accommodation to Christian Workers from around the world.

Christian hospitality is the bedrock of our vision ‘To shine the light of Jesus Christ through hospitality’ and our mission: ‘To provide our guests a welcoming, comfortable, safe, peaceful, and affordable home to rest, meet, and fellowship’. Both of which have not changed since the doors of the Foreign Mission Club were opened over 130 years ago.

However, over the past few years we have come to realise the impact of Part-Time Christian Workers that often takes place outside of a traditional full-time structure. Whether serving in bi-vocational roles or dedicated part-time positions, we value the vital contribution these individuals make to the church here in London, the UK, and around the world.

Furthermore, we have also come to realise the importance of providing Christian hospitality to the wider church. For many years our criteria has restricted access only to Christian Workers who are employed Full-Time with Protestant evangelical church, missionary, evangelistic, ecumenical, educational or outreach organisations. However, to truly shine the light of Jesus Christ through hospitality we believe that we need to broaden access to the wider church.

Our New Criteria

For a Christian Worker to access the 25% discount rates for accommodation they need to meet one or both of the following criteria:

  • Full-Time or Part-Time employee, or Retired employee, of a Christian charity or church
  • Staying at The Highbury Centre in the context of a Christian charity or church event

We are really excited about this positive change, and we hope it will provide more Christian Workers the opportunity to enjoy affordable accommodation just a short tube ride from central London.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to meeting you here at The Highbury Centre. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
